Guess what? I updated my 2019 GoodReads reading challenge.😅 I found out about this challenge late last year. I believe I did set a goal, but I either didn’t reach it cause of how late it was in the year, or I deleted it all together cause of how late it was in the year. Bottom line I didn’t finish it. So, 2019 comes along and I enter. With the start of a new year I’ll have tons of time to finish it. 365 days instead of 2 months worth, give or take.
Originally it has started out as 15, something small. I didn’t know what to expect from this year, as this was my first year fully participating it it…and I didn’t know just how many books I can read in a year. So, I started out with 15. Something small, but a bit of a challenge. (Some of you readers might think differently but as I said ‘It’s my first year fully participating in it.’) It’s the tail end of July and I’ve almost read through all 15 books. Wow! I’m truly shocked by this. I didn’t expect this till ’bout December or so.
Well, it is what it is I guess. And me being me I decided to up it just a tad. Again, I didn’t want it to be to big, but I also wanted to enjoy it. So, I settled for this.
It’s not upped by much, just 5 books from the original. It’ll still be fun nonetheless, and I won’t be changing again this year. This is my goal now, 20 books by the end of the year. I can do this, and if I surpass it then so be it, I’ll know for next year.
This reading challenge has helped me read threw plenty of books on my shelves. It’s helped motivate me and I’m having fun while trying to reach the goal, and that’s okay. Trying to read so many books this year doesn’t feel like work, it’s pleasure and worth every read.
~Till the next Chapter~
